Designing an AI + IoT early-warning system that cut emergency response time by 30%.
I was the sole PM on a 3-partner climate resilience project —UC Berkeley plus two state agencies and three NGOs — with no direct manager. I designed an AI + IoT early-warning pilot from scratch: defined test parameters, ran trials across 3 scenarios, and achieved 30% faster median response time versus baseline. The project was submitted as an active ~$1M grant application and I secured a live tabletop exercise with county emergency staff to validate the system outside simulation. I'm appearing on Mission Unstoppable (CBS & Amazon Prime, May 2026) for this work.
What this project shows.
I can own a complex, multi-stakeholder technical project end to end with no playbook and no manager. The 30% response time improvement wasn't a simulation result but rather was validated with real emergency staff.
